Service & Philanthropy

The men at Kansas State Phi Delta Theta fraternity host three community service days each semester. Past beneficiaries of our service days include:

  • Flinthills Breadbasket
  • Adopt-a-Highway Program
  • Kansas Forestry Service
  • Kansas State
  • Local Churches

Some examples of our philanthropic activities are helping package food for Haiti with University Christian Church, helping remodel an office building for the K-State Entrepreneur college, helping clean up Tuttle Creek, enjoying playing games with retirees at MeadowLark Hills Assisted Living, and helping clean up Manhattan Arts Center.

We received recognition by Phi Delta Theta for our service to the American Red Cross posted on this Phi Delta Theta national website story.

We also participate in other Greek houses’ philanthropy events. Some of these include: Sunset Revival Benefit Concert, Mudbowl, Dodgeball Tournaments, and many more.

Our main philanthropy, in connection with the national Phi Delta Theta fraternity, is to support ALS also known as Lou Gehrig ’s disease.

Also each year, during the Summer, we host the Barker Memorial Open Golf Tournament to raise money for ALS and a selected scholarship in Kyle Barker’s name. The golf event is held at Kansas City with a huge turnout of over 100 golfers. Lean more about our annual golf tournament by clicking here.
